Plasma Physics (UGent)
This course is taught by Professor Jean-Marie Noterdaeme, and in the previous year included various guest speakers along with lectures on sections of the material from various other professors. The course seemed to be rather confused and jumbled up in Fall 2013 as Professor Jean-Marie Noterdaeme had just inherited the lectures from the previous instructor, and may have changed significantly.
The exam consisted of 3 written questions, some which required significant mathematical work, followed by a brief oral explanation of your written answers. Questions were quite specific and involved long derivations, so students are advised to go through the derivations within the course notes no matter what the Professor originally says about what will be tested.
