General Programme

The organisation of the FUSION-EP program demands a lot of efforts from the main coordinator in Ghent.

This is not always visible to students elsewhere, but in order to fit programs in a coherent overall program published at the website of Ugent it's not a piece of cake. We are working with 5 partners in 4 countries contributing to the program and in each country different deadlines, evaluations and academic years are in force. The organisation of Summer Events, Winter events and the RTM in Prague demands a lot of work from the local coordinators.

The selection process of the students also ask a lot of exchange with partners, checking of the validity of documents etc.

Organisation steps

1. 2019 Sept-January: On-line application/ No hardcopies to be sent.
2. 2020 February: selection by the Steering Committee.
3. 2020 March: announcement of selected students / Now send your hardcopies (Legalized diplomas and Transcripts)
4. 2020 April - August: non-EU students obtain a valid student visa.
5. 2020 September: arrival at host university. Start of the Language and Culture course.
6. 2020-2021 October-June: academic year (Stuttgart excepted: October - August)
7. 2021 February: mini Winter event in Cadarache.
8. 2021 July: Summer Event I
9. 2021 September: arrival at 2nd host university. Start of the Language and Culture course.
10. 2021-2022 October-June: academic year (Stuttgart excepted: October - August)
11. 2021 December: Joint Experimentation and Analysis Session in Prague.
12. 2022 Winter Event in Cadarache.
13. 2022 July: Summer Event II = thesis defense
