New page

The format of the Nederlands course is changing as of Fall 2014. It is nice to note however that the course includes books specifically made for Gent, and that you will pick up some of the Flemish dialect as part of the course. The course does require some study to pass it, especially for those with no background in Germanic languages.

You can register for Nederlands II for ~100 Euro during Spring semester but the credits do not count towards your program. The second Nederlands course is much more intensive then the first, and may prove difficult if your course load that semester is substantial. On the other hand it's a very nice way to meet people and if you can manage through both courses you'll have a decent command of the language.
